A little while ago, I decided that I wanted to keep a record of the books I read and I wanted to make this blog a place where we could talk about all of the amazing books out there. When I started this blog, I just wanted to write about writing and that was cool. But over the years, I’ve come to realize that what you read becomes a part of what you write and so I wanted my little corner of book blog land to represent that.
I’m an eclectic reader, although I tend to read A LOT of YA books, so that’s what you’ll see most on this site. I’ve spent the better part of ten years teaching English by day and writing my own children’s books and stories by night. I don’t use a rating system, because my reviews are more about connecting readers with a book that I loved. If I don’t like a book, I tend to put it aside or give it away, because it’s just not for me.
